Residential

Milan, Via Plinio

The project involves the refurbishment of an industrial building. The scheme comprises six self-contained residential units, spread over four storeys, with private gardens and patios ranging in size from approximately 160 to 190 square metres. The building’s design involves only a partial alteration to the existing structure.

The use of double-height spaces and vertical glass partitions, combined with large skylights, has maximised the amount of natural light entering all the interior spaces. On the ground floor, there is a sense of visual continuity between the interior and exterior: each residential unit features internal patios that serve as genuine extensions of the living area.

The unique character of the urban villas on Via Plinio offers an alternative way of experiencing the city of Milan, drawing inspiration from Northern Europe as a hub for ideas and experimentation. The residences meet the needs of contemporary urban living: spacious interiors with private outdoor areas and great flexibility of use.
